ONE of the Essex babies born on the same day as the Queen's Coronation will be avoiding the bunting for his sixtieth birthday.
Andy Tutton, of Maidment Crescent, Witham, was born at St John's hospital in Chelmsford, on June 2 1952.
One of three Essex babies born that day, Andy was pictured in a Chronicle article with his mother, Margaret.
He has since spent the 60 years of his life in Essex and is looking forward to becoming a grandfather later this year.
"It's nice to look back on it, there were only three of us in the Essex hospitals born that day which is quite special."
After attending Rainsford School in Chelmsford, Andy owned a house removal business for many years.
He and his wife Jan,had two children, James, 31, and Rachel, 29.
For his birthday, however, Andy will be avoiding all things regal. He said: "I'm having a barbecue with friends from Tenerife. There will be about 25 of us but there won't be any bunting.
"While our marvellous Queen has done a wonderful job, I wouldn't be voting to keep her in."
