Dunkin' Donuts will be opening its Chelmsford store in Moulsham Street.
The American fast food chain, which last week announced a commercial tie-up with Liverpool FC, confirmed it was returning to the UK after a 20-year absence.
The Chelmsford store, expected to open in mid-February will be one of only two of the firm's outlets to open outside of London. The other will open in Cambridge.
A Dunkin' Donuts franchise has already opened in Harrow, north London.
The menu will include items specially tailored to these shores, including sausage and bacon butties, porridge and hot Croistrami™ sandwiches.
Old favourites will include Latte Lite, Egg & Cheese Wake Up Wraps, Yogurt and Multi-Seed Bagels.
David Sheepshanks, chairman of the UK-based Court Group, part of the arrangement which brought the company back to these shores, said: “Dunkin’ Donuts is an international brand with a long history, and we are excited to be part of the official launch of Dunkin’ in the UK.
“We look forward to bringing Dunkin’ Donuts’ famous high-quality food and drink to local people in Chelmsford and beyond.”
