Mansfield made it four home wins on the bounce with a 2-0 victory over Braintree at Field Mill.
Goals from Lee Stevenson and Jake Speight near the end of each half secured the three points.
Braintree forced a good save out of Alan Marriott after half an hour as the Mansfield goalkeeper tipped Adam Bailey-Dennis' left-footed drive around the post to keep the game goalless.
Mansfield took the lead three minutes before the interval through Stevenson's placed finish from inside the penalty box.
Danny Naisbitt was unable to hold Speight's fierce 25-yard effort as the Stags went looking for a second goal to make the game safe.
The clincher eventually came in the 86th minute as Speight finished off Colin Daniel's cross from near the penalty spot.
