A WOULD-BE model has taken a step closer to her dream of becoming the new Jordan by starring in a new TV show this week.

Ashley Havelin, 18, is one of the young women hoping to make her mark in the fiercely competitive business by appearing on Nuts TV's Make Me A Glamour Model.

Ashley, of Ladywell Lane, Sandon, said: "It is what I have always wanted to do. I love the idea of the lifestyle and the glamour. I have always looked at pictures of girls in magazines and loved the idea of seeing myself there."

Ashley, pictured right, applied after seeing an online advertisement for stars of the show and was immediately contacted by producers.

She said: "I have had a few portfolio shoots done before and had my picture in Nuts magazine's Real Women section, but I have never done anything like this.

"It was hard work. You have to be able to follow instructions and sometimes stay in the same position for up to five hours while they try to get the shot they want. Kneeling on concrete is not very comfortable after a while.

"But I really enjoyed it and think it was great experience. I know that glamour modelling is what I want to do."

Although the series has finished filming, the contestants do not yet know which one of them will get the call offering them a contract with top London agency Neon Models.

The first episode of Make Me a Glamour Model was broadcast on Nuts TV on Monday night, and episode two goes out next Monday at 10pm.
