Spurs boss Tim Sherwood is reportedly being put under pressure to play misfiring winger Erik Lamela.

The club's record signing has struggled in his first campaign at White Hart Lane, and is nearing a return to full training after injury problems.

And chairman Daniel Levy is believed to be keen to see him return to the first-team before the end of the season to boost him ahead of the new campaign.

But Sherwood has said the Argentine will "probably" not play again this season, and according to the Telegraph is not worried about going against the wishes of Levy as speculation continues that he will be replaced in the summer anyway.
